About HOTA

The Hands-On Trade Association is an association of professionals in fields related to touch. These professions include massage therapists, bodyworkers, animal massage therapists, cosmetologists, estheticians, and nail technicians. Our mission is to provide a benefits package to our members that includes professional insurance and business building tools. We cover over 300 modalities.

The Hands-On Trade Association is directed by Judi Calvert, co-founder of Massage Magazine. She and her late husband, Robert Calvert, have committed their lives to support touch professionals. HOTA is an extension of that mission.
